More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I work for city of spark in there before and after program at the schools in the Reno/Sparks area. This gave me experience in working with children in elementary school, helping them have fun after a tough day of school or helping them with homework. Before that I worked with kids at my church during service or other night time events. The kids were of all ages from as young as a newborn baby or as old as the teens in the youth group program.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy teaching kids how to handle emotions, helping them with homework, playing outside and inside, watching TV shows, relaxing, exercising, and overall just being a kid.
The most important part about being a nanny...
for me, the most important part about being a Nanny is like I said when it came to memories, being a part of their life as more than just a stranger who’s watching them in the morning and afternoons. If you choose me to be your nanny I will build a connection in a relationship with your children. I will learn what their favorite things are, and it will be a party every day. I grew up having a Nanny and one of the greatest things was down the line she became about the family. She was more than just someone who watched us as kids grow up, but she was someone who knew us and someone that we could go to. again, she became more a part of the family than ever.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with shaken baby syndrome, down syndrome, and autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite thing when working with children is when you build a connection with that child. For example, when I used to babysit this six-year-old boy, we would go get ice cream every Friday and it was our little thing. Something that we could both look forward to, and it made me feel more than just some stranger who was watching him while his parents were at work. those are the kind of moments when being a nanny that you feel connected to both the kids and their lifestyle more than just someone who’s watching them.
