Hi! My name is Katelyn, I'm 22 and a recent graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Science. I've been a full-time nanny for the past few years and absolutely love caring for children of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities. I feel I stand out compared to other competitors due to my experience and my previous nanny positions. I worked for my previous nanny family for 2 years, two sets of twins, current ages 4 and 5 year olds with both boys having severe autism. I did a nanny share and also cared for another family, at the same time, taking those 2 school age boys to after school activities. I have experience in daycare settings (along with montessori training). I'm CPR certified, have a reliable car, and am known for being caring, patient, flexible, and communicative. I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment while building strong, trusting relationships with the families I work with.

I feel like the most important part about being a nanny is supporting the kids and making sure they try to do everything themselves first and when they need my help, I will assist them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have nannied for 4 children at once (2 sets of twins) the two boys were diagnosed with autism. I’ve also driven a school aged boy with Down syndrome.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love seeing the joy on kids’ face when they figure out how to do things themselves! With experience in the Montessori school, I’m very patient and calm with kids when they are trying to learn and do things themselves.
