Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a substitute teacher for Douglas county School system, working with elementary and middle school levels. I mainly worked with middle school special needs. I am familiar with de-escalation and behavior intervention as a result of my time there. I'm choosing not to return due to a restructure in the program.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love art, and think it's very important to nurture creativity in young minds. Depending on the age, I either provide coloring sheets, drawing prompts, playdough or clay, or origami sheets!
I also love cooking and baking and found that involving children in the process helps with picky eating and developing independent habits!

My mother and brother both have Asperger's Syndrome, and I've worked closely with the Autism and MOID classes in Douglas county.
