"I am writing on behalf of Kate Glasser for a nannying position. It is my pleasure to be able to recommend Kate for this position as I have worked with her over the past two years as the Albany Assistant Coordinator for Early Education. Throughout this time that I have worked closely with her, I have seen how dedicated and passionate she is working with children. I have seen Ms. Glasser work successfully to help her children grow in developmentally appropriate ways. She is a caring, enthusiastic teacher who engages all of her children in hands-on learning. She puts forth an encouraging, and compassionate attitude. Ms. Glasser goes above and beyond to support all the children. Kate ensures the success and happiness of all her students. Kate communicates with parents on a regular basis regarding student progress. I strongly recommend that Kate be considered for the position as she provides a welcoming and educationally rich experience for her children.
Sincerely,
Nicole Madison"

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in early childhood education for 5 years as a toddler and preschool lead teacher. For the past year I have been teaching with Albany City School District as the lead UPK 4 year old classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’ve always enjoyed messy art and sensory activities. Reading together, making predictions about how the story will go and comparing at the end is always a go to , often with artwork or reenactments that follows. But the most important thing to me when choosing an activity is that it’s interest based.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is warmth, is guidance and protection . Children have all of the same needs, feelings and difficulties that adults do they just have less practice dealing with it all. As a caregiver, we help give them the tools they use for the rest of their lives. We show them how to handle disappointment, frustration as well as excitement and curiosity. It’s important to be human around them and to show them it’s ok to make mistakes, make messes and have big feelings so they know being human isn’t something you grow out of.
My experience with special needs children...
In every classroom I have worked in either as an assistant or as a lead has had children with specific needs. I have worked with families and therapists to ensure the best learning outcomes in the classroom and I feel confident I can work with you to do the same. There isn’t a one size fits all when it comes to families but it’s worth the effort to find the right routine, skills and resources for your family.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I always really enjoy when they overcome something they’ve been working for a while. Like the first time they zip their coat on their own or make a snow man by them selves. When they are proud of themselves and you can witness them growing as a person. Those are my favorite moments.
