A little bit about me

My name is Katherine but I go by Kat. My experience initially began with the nursery at the church I attended when I was 15. I did that for about a year, and from the connections I made at the nursery I began babysitting for families I knew from the church. In addition to my nursery experience, my mom was a single mother raising 6 children, and my oldest sister has bi-polar disorder. These circumstances required me to step in to help with my 3 younger siblings, who I remain close to. I have developed a lot of skills that allow me to work with children efficiently. Up until about a year and a half ago I worked in the retail/food industry, which I enjoyed temporarily but soon realized that I did not want to do that long-term. I started my first year of college in 2022 and started nannying full time as well. I encourage the gentle parenting technique and am more interested in redirection rather than punishment. I like to limit tv/electronics and tend to do more activities/crafts.
