The most Important part about being a nanny is creating a relationship, a friendship of some sort, with the children, while still having them know you are in charge but they care cared for by someone really great.
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a toddler with autism and thought him the essentials, such as how told hold a cup and drink from a straw properly, how to use/hold utensils, how to write ( as much as I could of course), and worked with him to help him stay calm and to calm the ticks he would get daily.

My favorite nanny moment was and always will be seeing the kids I once watched and helped raise still love me and give me hugs and tell me that they miss me.
