I have spent many years caring for my three younger siblings while my mom worked. I have also babysat other family members and our family’s friends children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love making crafts with kids, it’s so fun to see their faces light up when they get creative! I also enjoy playing board/card games or just watching tv together. If they want to play outside I will go with them and see if we can play something together too! I also love playing with dolls or other toys to help kids expand their imagination.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Connecting with the kids. It’s so important that you form a bond with who you are babysitting. It’s not just “watching” the children, you are becoming a part of their life just as they are becoming a part of yours. If you can’t connect with them, understand that not everyone bonds well and hope they will find someone they love!
My experience with special needs children...
I have never cared for any children with special needs, but I am eager to gain experience! I will learn everything I need to know to care for your child and make sure to fulfill their needs to the very best of my ability!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I babysat a friends child and we were playing with watercolors at the table. The little girl I was watching picked up her paper she had finished painting but the water hadn’t dried yet, and she watched the paint drip down the page. She was so excited to make another painting just using that technique, it made me so happy!
