More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a head counselor at a summer camp for 5 years, my age group was the 9 and 10 year old girls, however in these years I have worked with all ages and both genders in the camp (5-13).
Before the program was closed down due to Covid, I was a swim instructor through Condors Swim Club. I instructed for their beginner ‘learn to swim’ program (ages 3+). I have also helped teach older kids to swim as well as children with special needs and disabilities.
I have babysat for over 7 different families in the past 8 years, on a consistent basis and then sporadically when needed as their circumstances changed and children got older or no longer needed child care!
I have multiple references for providing child care for families with children aged 2 and up!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Hide & seek, tag, playing sports, board games, play-pretend games, coloring, dancing, singing, dress-up, dolls, baking, arts n crafts, scavenger hunt, ispy, interactive learning. I also like to take them to do things like the park or swimming. And create fun activities to engage in at home. We live in a generation with way too many electronics and screen time being introduced at an early age. To me, it is really important to limit that and find other ways to entertain/bond and have fun with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Taking good care of the children & their home. Proper meals, keeping things clean, attending to their needs which also includes giving them individual attention if they have siblings.
My experience with special needs children...
I have taught children with Autism, Selective Mutism and other disabilities aged 3-5 how to swim.

My favorite are the hugs and hand holding. The friendship and care I have developed for all the children I’ve built relationships with has also meant the world to me.
