I am loving, nurturing, introspective, emotionally attuned, compassionate, and relentlessly curious. Working with young children is my calling, and I have been doing it in one capacity or another since '08, and in preschool settings since 2011. I have a B.A. in early childhood education from Naropa University and am familiar with a range of pedagogies and educational theory. I have been inspired by such authors as Daniel Siegal, Bethany Saltman, Micheal Mendizza,, and Paulo Freire. My journey has led me to a pedagogy rooted in deep respect, mindfulness, freedom whenever possible, and firm boundaries whenever needed. I take a needs and connection-based approach to discipline, viewing behavior as communication. I believe children construct their knowledge through hands-on experience held within the context of trusting relationships.
