A little bit about me

I am a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University with a bachelor's in History. While there, I worked as an orientation leader, resident assistant, and peer advisor. These positions have helped me understand how to behave in emergencies and how to stay calm and communicate clearly when faced with conflicts and stressors.
Beyond school, I enjoy spending my time going outside, either to garden, to play with my dogs, or simply to study in the sun. I also enjoy baking and trying new recipes from scratch.
I love learning and sharing what I have learned with others. I am passionate about teaching and education, with hopes to one day become a museum educator to create and facilitate public programs.

As a museum educator, I was responsible for classes of elementary-aged children to ensure they understood the material I was teaching and engaged in our programs appropriately and safely. Some children felt frustrated with the activities, and so I learned how to diffuse situations by altering my instructions or adjusting the activity so they could continue participating in a way that supported their learning style.
In addition to my teaching experience, I am an aunt to three girls, ages one, seven, and thirteen. Over the years, I have had opportunities to babysit them as well as go on family outings.
