A little bit about me

I have been a nanny for two different families for almost 2 years in total. Absolutely the best job I’ve ever had , I enjoy it so much ! I took a few months off because one of my families lost a family member & since I knew the family member whom had passed I was also pretty upset by it & just decided to take a few months off . My other family was completely understanding & supportive of my decision. I am now ready to get back to work & looking forward to helping another family. I volunteered at a special needs daycare all throughout high school which really jumpstarted my nannying after I graduated. I’ve always been the family babysitter as well I have a huge family with tons of small children running around from all age ranges ! I am cpr certified including infant cpr. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Special needs daycare from age 14-18 with kids ranging from 0-7.
Family babysitter for kids from infants to 10 year olds .
Part time babysitter for a family for 9 months while the mother was having trouble with her pregnancy. (3 kids ages 2, 5 , & 8)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Board games ! I love board games , card games , & video games . For smaller kids I like to play hide & seek , puppet shows & scavenger hunts . Also fashion/ talent shows. Kids usually love To play Simon says with me , I love to do puzzles , go to the art store & get arts & crafts & let the kids create something cool of their choice . Toy instruments to let them make their own bands , it all depends on what the kids like to do , I’m always down for any kind of fun ! I love any outdoor activities so if the kids want to go outside oh we’re definitely going out !

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a friend to the child while also keeping them safe & Making sure the children feel cared for & heard . Really doing whatever it is that the parent is unable to do & more while making sure the child has fun & doesn’t feel abandoned or lonely .

The most important part about being a nanny...

The last family I Nannied for had a 4 year old boy & two 7 year old girls & the day before I stopped working for them they brought me a homemade scrapbook filled with all the little nic nacs or art pieces we’ve created together & pictures we’ve taken over the year that I worked for them . I cried because it let me know that they loved me like I was sort of their family & it encouraged me to continue being a nanny despite how heartbreaking it was to stop working from them & leave the children. The family & I still keep in contact.
