Bonding with kids and creating a safe space for them. I feel like.. we nannies are similar to teachers in a way and we have a big influence on them. The more we support and love these kids and teach them good things, the more likely they are to turn out kinder, wiser and positive in the future and help spread the message to their generation.

When the parents would drop their child off to us back at the Mt. Prospect Park District, there always was a handful of kids who have their parents a hard time leaving. I remember a few would run into my arms after the moment they’d see me and would just leave their parent mid hallway without saying bye.
