I was leaving for college and the mom of the family I nannied for sent me a huge paragraph. I read it and immediately broke into tears. She told me how much of a positive impact I had on her oldest girl and how she’s been having a rough time with people at school and making friends. The mom thanked me for always being there for her kids and for giving her daughter a friend and someone she feels she can talk to about anything during one of the hardest times in her life. I didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on her kids until she sent me that message. To this day I stay in contact with her daughter and whenever I am home for breaks I’ll always make sure to take her out shopping so we can get some girl time in!
