More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
3 year APPLE Academy- Throughout all 3 years we took child development courses. The first year we had to take care of an electronic baby and was graded on it and the second year we had to plan pre-schoolers day to day activities, what their outdoor activities were, what their indoor activities were, what they were going to eat, while also being in charge of one student each and studying their behaviors.
I was the babysitter/nanny/tutor for my family and family friends. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and as the oldest it sort of put me in this position. However, I like it and feel as though I was meant to be a motivator and educator.
For the past 3 years I have been working at an elementary school for an extended day learning program. Although I enjoy it, I no longer get to have one on one time with the children. I oversee 200+ students and would prefer to work personally within a family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a lot with children, whether that’s going to the park, getting ice cream, creating shrinky dinks, creating at home projects that stimulate creativity and excitement, sports, dance, music, arts and crafts, etc… I love to do it all!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety is huge! I love to have fun with the kids but safety is my biggest priority. We can still have fun while being safe! I also think respect and kindness is important and teaching children how to be responsible and independent is also important.
My experience with special needs children...
Because I work for an extended day learning program at an elementary school with 200+ students, I work with many different types of students ranging from 4 years old to 11 years old. I have experience working with children with ADHD, severe food allergies, learning disabilities, etc…
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love the bonds created between myself and the children and families I work for. I love the personal drawings/ coloring pages I receive from the children or little crafts they gift me by surprise. It makes me feel special to them and I know they appreciate me and have a lot of love for me as I do for them as well.
