A little bit about me

I have been caring for children for most of my life. It began with babysitting in my teen years and developed into a live in nanny position from 19 years old until I was 22. Since then I have cared for children of various ages on and off at my home and most recently held a position as an assistant teacher at a local childcare center. I enjoy the outdoors and have a small hobby farm. I've always enjoyed being able to incorporate some of my homesteading experience with the children I care for and most recently hatched out chicks with some of my three year old friends! My 10 year old daughter and I spend a lot of time crafting and building together. We most recently began a mobile chicken coop project. One of my favorite things to do is to sit back and enjoy a good book. I have always found it quite a thrill teaching the children about new things and being able to incorporate some of that into our every day lives.
