A little bit about me

Hi my name is Kaylen, and I am 18 years old in school for cosmetology. While in high school i took early childhood classes which helped me gain my CDA certification. This certification allows me to work with toddlers in a daycare setting. In the class, I taught a daycare of 7-9 preschoolers alongside other teachers and a teachers aide. In the program I learned how to foster growth in children’s developmental areas, serve proper healthy and nutritious meals, and I am also for certified. For 2 school years I worked one on one with multiple kids teaching them how to use scissors, hold the paintbrush the correct way, write and spell their name and more. In addition to this I also babysit children in a synagogue setting. During the jewish holidays many families need babysitters while the parents are celebrating. I normally would be responsible for 6-10 toddlers and I would guide them throughout their day and make sure they are playing nicely, reading, eat lunch, and complete their prayer.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher in a daycare program provided through my highschool, i worked with the children in the daycare for 2 years and obtained multiple certifications throughout this time. In addition i learned how to create fun lesson plans/activities for the children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside with children, or creating lesson plans/activities that cater to their development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is building trust with not only
the child i’m taking care of , but also the family i’m working for. I think it’s extremely important when anyone leaves their child in my care they know they’re in great caring hands.
