I have 2 years of hands-on experience working with children with special needs as a Teacher Assistant in a special education classroom. This role has given me the opportunity to support children with a range of abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While I haven’t worked as a nanny yet, one of my favorite experiences as a Teacher Assistant in a special education classroom was helping one of my students learn how to communicate using picture cards. At first, they were frustrated and struggled to express their needs, but with daily support, patience, and encouragement, they started using the cards on their own.
