What I know about how to care for your child
Your child may need a 5 minute, 2 minute, or 1 minute warning before there is a change of activity. When saying you have 5 minutes don’t wait 5 minutes wait two minutes and then say you have two minutes. You don’t have to wait the whole 5 minutes. This helps a child feel more in control without controlling us. Set your boundaries, stick to them, and follow through. Always using the words FIRST/THEN. First we will clean up, then we can go to the park.Depending on your needs and your child's skill set, you can either do this verbally, use pictures, or write items on a dry erase board..rewarding positive behavior, and just focusing on what you want the child to do not what you want them to stop doing. I have learned a lot by working with different families

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Nashville, TN: Sloane Q.
Hello, my name is Sloane and I am 20 years old and am very interested in being your sitter. I have 2 years experience as a babysitter, during which I was an after school sitter for two different families, for children from pre-school through the 1st grade. I am also a former pre k teacher so I can help with homework, as requested. I also have my own car and a clean driving record, so picking up your kiddos would not be a problem.
I am very loving, patient and outgoing and love having activities that children will find entertaining. Babysitting is something I love doing because everyday is different and new and it’s amazing being part of a child learning and growing as a person. I look forward to hearing from you.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Nashville, TN: Lexi P.
Hi, my name is Lexi. I’m a 24 year old with lots of experience working and caring for tiny humans. I received my bachelor’s degree in developmental childhood psychology and a certification in early childhood education from Lycoming College. I have worked with children since I was 12 and I have professionally worked with children since I was 18. In college I did my internship at the local preschool in the area and I got my field experience at the Williamsport Middle School in Muncy, PA. During the summer months, while I was still in school, I worked as a teacher’s aid for Our Savior Lutheran Academy here in Nashville. Upon graduating college I was lead teacher for 7th and 8th grade reading and writing at KIPP Academy. I now have realized I enjoy a much more hands on experience with students and children. I am looking for a job that feels more like gaining a bonus family. I put my all into my work and I’m excited to see where this path will lead. Hopefully I’m a great fit for your family
