Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My age group experience extends from 18mo-10yrs. I worked as a classroom assistant for 3 years at a local Montessori school in Oklahoma City, where I supported ages 18mo-36mo most often. I have 1.5yrs of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral struggles, where I additionally worked as a trainer. I have professional certifications in Pediatric First Aid + CPR/AED, ABA Therapy, and Crisis Prevention/Safety/Management.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning playful, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and support each child’s development in a natural and joyful way. You’ll may usually find us outside, whether we’re collecting leaves on a nature walk, building obstacle courses, making mud pies, or cloud-watching on a blanket. I believe the outdoors offers endless learning opportunities and encourages creativity, movement, and calm regulation.

Indoors, I enjoy setting up child-led activities that strengthen fine and gross motor skills, from lacing beads and building with blocks to dancing, stretching, or crawling through forts. I weave in early learning concepts like colors, letters, numbers, writing, spelling, and reading through open-ended play .. think scavenger hunts, sensory bins, storytelling games, and chalk art. My focus is always on connection, exploration, and confidence, NOT perfection. Screens are never the center of our day; imagination is.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building a genuine, trusting connection with each child. Children need to feel safe, seen, and supported in order to grow into confident, emotionally secure individuals. Being a nanny means showing up with consistency, empathy, and patience; honoring who each child is and guiding them with respect. It’s not just about supervision, but about nurturing their curiosity, emotions, and sense of self through intentional care, play, and presence. Connection over compliance always!

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with high behavioral needs children ranging from ages 2-10, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder for the past 1.5yrs. As an RBT, I integrated evidence-based interventions in behavior management, tracked data, and fostered deep connections to help children thrive. My approach is valued in safety, child-led play, connection, curiosity, and independence. My special interest is in cultivating independent communication skills.
