I’m a friendly, professional, active nanny! I’ve cared for newborns to elementary age children over the last 11 years and beyond. It is my passion to come alongside parents to provide, safe, nurturing care of their children in a respectful and supportive manner. I have a bachelor of science degree in social work and also worked with children in the past in daycare, foster care, VBS, Sunday schools, church nurseries and other social service positions. I have provided home education and/or tutoring to preschool, elementary, and junior high age children. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

From my time in jr high and high school I have cared for children. In college I worked in daycares and with children in specialized foster care as a youth advocate. Later I worked with foster children, and their foster and biological parents. I have worked in church nurseries, at VBS, and with children as a home educator/tutor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy holding, rocking, walking with, and feeding babies. I love to introduce music and tummy time activities as well as developmental play for babies and toddlers. I believe fresh air, sunshine and movement is key to happy, healthy well adjusted children so I try to integrate outdoor activities and play daily. Doing crafts, sports, reading good quality books and imaginative play are some of my favorites with all the children I work with. Visiting various parks, libraries, and outdoor kid related environments or field trips are some of the activities I have included when planning for productive, fun, and active days with children I work with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing each child with a safe environment to thrive and grow in while giving them nurturing care, acceptance and clear, consistent guidance. I believe each child deserves a nanny who is supportive, consistent and able to recognize each child’s abilities, needs, and specific areas to target for their growth and development.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children who have had a variety of special needs in foster care. Some of these specific special needs I have experience with are dyslexia, ADHD, infant reflux and swallowing -breathing issues, speech delays, autism, and Aspergers. I also have experience working with and caring for twins and multiples. I love to see children thrive, grow, and learn in all areas of their development and especially in any areas involving special needs.
