I think being a nanny or working with a community of kids can be approach as a co-parent. Meaning; the care, attention and intentionality is align with the needs of the child and family in order to cultivate a wholesome environment conducive to fun, growth and development.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Once, for show and tell, one of my kids took a bandaid box i brought for her to school as her favorite magical thing. In her presentation she had other children so enamored that they lined up afterwards to pull out a bandaid filled with “ love, healing , soft kisses, wishes and hugs” this after she got a boo boo at school once and I gifted her a pack of “ magical bandaid”. This moment still warms my heart and I was delighted to hear what her teachers had observed. It was the perfect blend and imaginative play and sweetness.
