More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience as a live-in nanny and as an occasional babysitter for families with children ranging from infancy to pre-teen years. I also have a 2 year old nephew, who I've actively participated in his care and development from when he was 5 days old. This comprehensive experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the various stages of a child's growth and the specific needs associated with each stage. Assisted in feeding him, including bottle-feeding and later introducing solid foods. Changed diapers, helped in his potty training journey, and engaged in interactive play and education activities to help enhance his cognitive, motor, and social skills.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading books, playing age-appropriate games, and encouraging and engaging in imaginative play. I also love going on adventures with children, including going to the playground, the park, the Children's Museum in Portland, and the beach in the summer. (I have taken children as young as 14 months old to private and group swim lessons).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being understanding, patience, and empathetic. Children as experiencing so many things for the very first time, and it's important to remember that, especially when children become overwhelmed. Maintaining a calm demeanor, displaying patience and giving support to children to help them work through all the ups and downs that naturally occur with their developing minds.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Working with young children has instilled in me a deep sense of love, patience, and empathy in all areas of my life. Children can teach us a lot, especially about patience, curiosity, and the beauty of life.

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Portland, ME: Abby F.
Hi! I’m Abby! 😊 I’m 21 years old and have 6+ years of childcare experience. I’m CPR certified and truly love working with kids! I’ve cared for children of different ages and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where they can be themselves.
I’m responsible, dependable, patient, and always happy to help with things around the house, including laundry, meal prep, and keeping things tidy. I love finding fun activities to do with kids, whether that’s playing outside, baking, crafts, reading, or going on little adventures!
Outside of nannying, I’m a huge animal lover and spend lots of time around horses. I also enjoy baking, crocheting, sewing, and being outdoors. I’m currently looking for a family where I can become a trusted part of the household and build a great relationship with both the parents and kids. I’m especially interested in live-in nanny opportunities! 🤎

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, ME: Paige M.
Hey there! My name is Paige I’m 24 years old and currently working as a daycare teacher for 3-4 year olds! I have a BA in Psychology and spent some time after college working as a behavioral health professional in a preschool and also in home with a teenage client. I have found that I love teaching children how to be more independent, how to empathize and problem solve and overall how to be better little humans! Having said that, I don’t love teaching academics which is why I am looking to move out of the school setting. I am excited to start a new chapter with a family that values teaching through play, promoting independence, respect, being kind to all living things and empathy.
