More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My first babysitting job lasted 5 years on and off where I took care of a young girl with special needs in the neighborhood I grew up in. That extended to a few more families of family friends. I then began babysitting here and there for families through the private school I worked for that needed extra help with their children with special needs outside of school hours. I recently nannied/babysat for a family of 3 of all boys (15, 4, 3), and varying critical needs. I have also worked in a special education setting for 6 years with kids aged 2-21. I also have previous summer camp experience with the YMCA Summer Camp program.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be active! Whether that is playing hide-and-seek, tag, riding bikes, or anything else the child enjoys! I also love art and drawing, as well as solving mysteries. Anything that involves these are fun for me to engage in.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is keeping the child safe, ensuring that their preferences are adhered to, and support their happiness!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with a large age range of kids on the Autism Spectrum. Some of which had additional diagnosis including Cereal Palsy, Down syndrome, visual impairments, ADHD and other learning disabilities, and other mental health diagnoses.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Any moment where a child is laughing and smiling is my favorite. Being there to see a child break through major developmental milestones is also so enjoyable to experience, specifically when showing independence or new acquired skills.
