My name is Kelsey and I've lived in Colorado my whole life.
I love being outdoors, exploring (especially in the sunshine!) More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked with children for around 20yrs in various capacities. I started working with children during my time as a lifeguard at the City of Lakewood teaching swimming lessons to ages ranging from infants-teenagers. While in college I worked at a drop-in daycare program in Lakewood.

My longest experience was as the Lead Teacher at the Early Childhood Education Center for Colorado Academy where I worked for 8 years as an educator. I would say I've had the most in-depth training and experience with children ranging from 6wks-5 yrs old(about 12,000 hours worked at this specific job with children)

I have nannied for a few different families since my ECE career. However, my most recent experience was a nanny to two incredible young boys 3 times a week/30hrs. I really enjoy being their for the start of the children’s day, as well as the end of it and all the fun in between. I believe children learn best when given different hands-on experiences and the attention they need and deserve.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

A few things I really enjoy that come to mind while working with children are: age-appropriate crafts, open-ended activities, art, reading books, dance parties, educational board games/puzzles, chalk or paint creations, coloring, dress up, Magna Tiles and of course, my favorite, getting outside to explore ALL of the unique nature that each season has to offer. The libraries, parks, museums, music centers, indoor playgrounds and all the fun activities away from the school/home are also a great enrichment as well.
