Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing any outdoor activies. ranging from sports (I was an avid athlete in high school) to playing games I grew up with as a child myself (manhunt, cats and dogs, tag, 7 up), arts and crafts, and any educational games that can help children gain knowldege.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is the ability to be a part of a childs life, and hopefully bring that child knowledge and gain knowledge from them as well. It is a important responisbility being a nanny due to the fact you are with that child for a significant amount of time, and no education or skills matter if you don't truly have a passion for being a quality caregiver.
My experience with special needs children...
One summer, I volunteered at a camp that was specifically for children with down syndrome. The activities were catered to their needs and fit them best. I enjoy being with kids with special needs, since I have dyslexia myself, I am sympathetic and can relate to children who deal with similar disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny was when I watched a little girl and she was doing her homework and she called herself stupid because she was struggling and I talked to her about my own disability and how hard it is for me sometimes, and she cheered up immediatley and realized it is okay to have your own struggles in life. I truly just enjoy seeing them smile, laugh and just enjoy being a kid.

Hello! I am Becca, and I am sophomore biology major in College. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I am home for the semester and would love to babysit part time for the remainder of the semester, and possibly into the summer months. I provided occasional date night and daytime babysitting for two boys ages 2 and 5 when I first started caring for them in 2017. I love to teach, and have experience teaching tennis to kids ages 5-10. I am a passionate learner, and would love to share this passion through playing games, tutoring, museums, and puzzles. I am an avid cook, and love to baking and preparing meals for my family at home. I am a huge animal person, so dogs are definitely a plus for me. I have my own car, and am more than willing to provide my own transportation.
