A little bit about me…

Hello everyone! My name is Kelsey Hands and I am 24 years old. I have been going to school majoring in Early Childhood Education for the past year in hopes of one day becoming a teacher. I started babysitting when I was nine years old just caring for family members or kids around the neighborhood. Which slowly turned into me becoming more of a nanny enduring more responsibilites on my plate. I have worked with many different families, they were all wonderful and helped solidify that working with children is my passion. Some of my duties as a babysitter/nanny was picking and dropping off the kids for school and school events or extra curriecular activies. I have watched kids that ranged from all different ages. Some of the activies I have the kids do are playing outside, walks, arts and crafts (painting, drawing, educational games), swimming, and cooking all meals. I am a very flexible person so I have even stayed the night if needed by the parents. Thank you for reading!

A little bit about me…

I grew up taking care of my younger brother so before I even began to nanny I started gaining experience there. During high school I took 4 years of child development classes where we got to teach a full preschool class all four years. Along with that I also completed a CNA/GNA course at the tech school and worked at a nursing home were I obtained my first aid and CPR experience. After graduating high school I first nannied for a family with an 8 week old baby and a 2 year old little girl parttime for 2 years....in between helping that family I also nannied for a single father that had 3 school age boys during the week taking them to and from school...while they were in school I would watch the girls. Then pick the boys back up after school. After the school year was over the boys went with their mom and I moved. Once moving I started to nanny for another family that had a 2 year old and a 4 year old part time while I worked full time at a hotel and I still nannied on the side for the first family. So as you can see I do have a lot of experience with children of all ages.

A little bit about me…

I have had extensive experience in my current position caring for two newborn infants. I began caring for the first when he was 3 weeks old. He is now a wonderful, intelligent, extremely inquisitive and loving five year old. His younger brother was born in April of '09 and I have the privilege of caring for him also since the day he came home from the hospital as a newborn. I care for these children five days a week (except holidays), most-times up to nine+ hours per day. They have two older brothers ( 11 and 14 years of age) that I occasionaly watch over either after school hours or when they are sick or off from their regular school schedules. I feed, clothe, bath, play and teach and love the two younger boys, and lovingly watch over feed and help to discipline the older boys when they have a need or it is appropriate.
