Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began babysitting in middle school, primarily caring for my volleyball coach’s four children. Since my dad worked at the school I attended, I built strong relationships with many teachers and was often trusted to babysit for their families as well. In high school, I consistently babysat for one of my teachers who had two young children, and I continued caring for them up until I moved away for college.
While working a part-time job in high school, I also had the opportunity to babysit for a coworker’s young daughter. She had experienced foster care, similar to my own background, which allowed me to connect with her on a deeper level and provide a supportive, understanding environment.
Even now, when I return home from college, I stay in touch with the families I’ve worked with and continue to spend time with the children. Babysitting has been a meaningful and long-term commitment for me, and I genuinely enjoy building lasting relationships with the families I serve.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy planning activities based on what the children are interested in and what they enjoy most. Whether that’s doing indoor crafts, coloring, reading books, building with toys, or helping with homework, I love engaging in creative and educational activities. I’m also happy to be active outdoors, playing their favorite sports, going for walks, playing at the park, or simply spending time outside. My main priority is always making sure the children are safe, engaged, and having fun in a positive environment.

The most important part of being a nanny, in my opinion, is making sure the children are safe, healthy, and genuinely happy. Beyond that, I believe what kids need most is to feel secure, valued, and loved. I strive to create a positive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves, learning, and growing. Providing that sense of safety and love is not just part of the job to me, it’s the foundation of it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts about being a nanny is seeing how excited the kids get when they know I’m coming to babysit. There’s something so special about being greeted with big smiles, hugs, or hearing how happy they are that I’m there. It truly means a lot to know they feel comfortable and look forward to spending time with me. I also love when I run into them in public, and they get just as excited to see me. It shows the connection and trust we’ve built. Those moments remind me why I love working with children and how meaningful this role is to me.
