A little bit about me

During the day, I work as a Care Coordinator at a medical center, helping patients get the medical attention they need. But before that, I was a Medical Assistant for about 4 years.

However, taking care of children has always been a part of me. I have been taking care of children of various ages since I was a teen. I would take care of 2-3 children while watching my own children at the same time.

I love how I was able to share my language and culture with them and watch them grow up into strong and kind young ladies and gentlemen. With my extensive knowledge and skill of child care, I am confident that your children will be in capable hands while maybe learning a second language if you would like that for your child.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked with children since I was a teen, watching over my niece and nephew and a few family friends' kids.

In my 20s, I used to babysit, pick up from school, and cook for a few single mothers' children (ranging from 6-12 yrs old) who needed help to watch their kids while they worked, on top of watching my four kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a young Mom, I kept all the children entertained was getting them involved in what I was doing around the house and making it a game. Such as if I was cooking a meal, I would let them help me and explore different ingredients and it's texture, while letting them mix the batter letting them pretend to be mini chefs.

I would have them read their favorite book to me or each other with a twist that they act out their favorite character. Since my children and the other family's children were almost always together, they had each other to keep company and play.

However, I enjoyed taking them to the park and giving them chalk to draw on the sidewalk or my porch. Sometimes, I would order a waterslide so they can have more fun outside while staying cool. Even doing some cool, easy kid-friendly science experiment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When it comes to being a nanny, the most important part for me is letting the parent(s) know they can leave their worries and anxieties to the side when their children are with me.

I know how fearful it can be to want to pick the right and trustful person to watch your most precious treasure.

Lastly, the important part of being a nanny is having your children feel comfortable and safe around me, knowing that I am another adult in their life they can go to if they need anything or to talk to.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nannying/babysitting moment is when they believed that my biological children and them were cousins because their mother and I had a really good relationship that we would hang out even when she didn't need me to watch her kids.

It swelled my heart with so much warmth, seeing how well my children and the children I was nannying loved each other and really acted like cousins.
