Hello , My name is Kenya Ellis. I am 26 years old. I have 6 younger brothers and sisters that I help take care of and raise. I currently work for Solano Family And Children’s Services, as well as 1 Plus 1 cares. I am looking to help families who are in need, also willing to clean and cook. I have 10 years in experience when it comes to caring for children. Growing up with as many siblings and cousins as I did you learn to love taking care of others. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently care for children through Solano family and children’s services(you are more than welcome to call them), I care for children in my own home and am willing to care at your home, I schedule a Covid test every other week due to the fact that I deal with kids. I practice PPE every day, and I absolutely love my job.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I do with the children is painting, have outside activities will go for walks, will walk to the donut shop right that’s right around the corner from my house , I have toys for all ages, I read to the children every day, I have scheduled nap and feeding times for them

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me the most important thing about being a nanny is to make sure that you pay attention to the children each Child is different and it could be something so small as to what kind of formula a child intakes you have to make sure you pay attention to detail you have to make sure you pay attention to not only your surroundings but the surroundings of the children you have to make sure they’re in a comfortable environment but most of all you have to make sure you have that trusting loving nanny bond with a child otherwise it’s going to create a lot of distance in between you and the child

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with special needs children as far as autism I’ve dealt with deaf children I’ve dealt with children who have lupusAnd I’ve also dealt with infants who have bone condition who’ve been in my care for six months plus and I’ll make sure to do everything accordingly to make everything comfortable for their mom condition

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was actually a couple of weeks ago I was watching my goddaughter and she just learned what baby food taste like so I gave her a spoonful of baby food and then as soon as I took the spoon her mouth she just started screaming I didn’t get no face she didn’t whine and she gave me straight scream so I put another spoonful of food in her mouth and I take the spoon out and she start screaming again so I tried a different food I tried bananas the first time with sweet potatoes and she didn’t like the bananas but she loves the sweet potato and told me by screaming at me lol
