I have several years of experience caring for children of all ages, especially infants and young children, through babysitting and volunteer work. I volunteered with children’s programs at Christ Fellowship, where I helped supervise activities, keep kids engaged, and create a safe, positive environment. I also have personal experience caring for children with special needs, which has helped me become patient, understanding, and adaptable. I genuinely love working with children, and my long-term career goal is to become a pediatric ultrasound technician, so caring for kids is something I’m truly passionate about.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun! Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, reading books, coloring, puzzles, sensory play, baking simple treats, and helping with homework. I also enjoy playing outside, going on walks, visiting the park, playing sports, and coming up with fun games that encourage learning and creativity. I always try to make sure children are having fun while staying safe and feeling supported.
My experience with special needs children...
Most of my experience comes from caring for my 4-year-old little brother, who is developmentally delayed and on the autism spectrum, and my 8-year-old nephew, who is also on the autism spectrum. Through caring for them, I’ve learned the importance of being patient, understanding, and paying attention to each child’s individual needs. I’ve helped with daily routines, keeping them engaged in activities they enjoy, communicating in ways that work best for them, and creating a calm and supportive environment where they feel safe and comfortable. This experience has taught me that every child is different, and I always make sure they feel understood, supported, and cared for.
