I’m a 23 year old girl hoping to pursue early childhood education as a career. I’m 1 of 4 children in my family, with 2 younger siblings. I’m currently a barista with pretty flexible hours. I’m at the beginning of my journey, so I’m hoping to build my paid experience as I start school. Children gravitate to me, making me the go-to person for family childcare. I’ve never had a hard time engaging with toddlers and children and being playful or patient when necessary. I have such a great interest in and respect for kids and their developmental processes, and I recognize the responsibility that comes with fostering their growth and helping them thrive. My biggest goal is to help be an effective supplemental part of caretaking, nurturing their minds while helping them grow into great young people.

The majority of my experience is through family, taking care of my younger cousins, the oldest being 10. I’ve babysat my younger siblings and their friends as needed, in my teen years. I also help in my church’s Sunday school and nursery as needed.

I enjoy reading to and with children. I also enjoy music as part of play whether it be through age appropriate toys and instruments, singing, listening to music and dancing. I also love incorporating outdoor activities such as walks and light hikes, imaginative play, and just exploring their outdoor environment.
