Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been caring for children for many years, beginning with babysitting as a teenager. I was also the main babysitter for my family, which gave me a lot of hands-on experience caring for children and understanding their individual needs, personalities, and routines.

Through these experiences, I learned how to be patient, responsible, attentive, and dependable. I’m comfortable keeping children entertained with age-appropriate activities, helping with meals and snacks, maintaining routines, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Being trusted as the primary babysitter in my family taught me how important it is to be reliable and communicate well with both children and parents.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe being dependable, patient, and attentive is just as important as keeping kids entertained. Parents should feel confident knowing their children are in caring and trustworthy hands, and children should feel heard, respected, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience working with children with special needs is limited, but I’m very comfortable learning and adapting to each child’s individual needs. I understand that every child is different and may have their own routines, communication styles, and ways of expressing themselves. I’m patient, attentive, and willing to follow guidance from parents and caregivers to make sure the child feels safe, comfortable, and supported. I’m also always open to learning new skills and approaches to provide the best care possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was having a “Yes Day” with the kids where they got to choose what we did, but there was one rule: everything had to be completely free! We turned it into a whole adventure and spent the day coming up with creative activities, playing outside, going on walks, having a picnic, playing games, and finding little ways to make the day special without spending any money. It ended up being one of those days where we laughed so much and made memories out of the simplest things. It reminded me that kids don’t need expensive activities to have an amazing time, they just need someone willing to be creative, present, and have fun with them!
