A little bit about me

I've been a nanny now for a few years and absolutely love it. I just fall in love with these kids and it's so wonderful to help them navigate through their lives. I'm a very involved nanny. I'm always playing, teaching, talking to them (even when they can't) and listening to them. We go outside, do art, read, play with their toys, and I bring things myself.

I've nannied a 6-year-old, 3-year-old, 1-year-old and the child I'm with now is 2. I've been with this family for almost a year, but they are making changes. I will miss being his nanny, but will still see him on a regular basic.

I need full time work, but would definitely nanny for two families to make that happen.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've been a nanny for four years now. When I first started I nannied a three year old girl and six year old boy. After, I started a job as household management for a family with three boys, ages one, three and six. I ended up nannying the boys more than managing the house. After I nannied a one year old boy for one year. They moved to a different state a year ago, and from then, until now, I nanny a two year old boy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I do so much with the children I nanny.
Outside we explore the neighborhood, or yard if the other is impossible. We look at plants and trees, touching them and talking about the color, etc, looking at the nature. I've watched two boys in a row that love the garbage truck, so of course we follow them around. If it's nice out, we play with water, or in the dirt.
Inside the house, we do all kinds of things. I mostly follow their lead, but bring things with me to do with them. We paint, play with Play-Doh or clay, play with their toys, run around, talk about things, point out numbers, letters, colors, etc. Even if a child can't talk yet, I still do. Talking with small children helps them in so many ways.

The little boy I'm watching at this moment sang the Itsy, Bitsy Spider to me recently, doing the hand motions. It was so cute. He's 2.5 and is really starting to pick up words. So cute.
