When it comes to working with kids it’s mainly all about patience within yourself getting to find the right family that doesn’t just meet your requirements but also theirs to eventually both come up with the right plan.
Having a schedule is both important and beneficial for both parties. For example with the families I work with I tend to get to know them first get a feel of what’s their daily routine’s like. Ask about food, naps, allergies, etc. Based on their ages and parents preferences is how I’ll determine what kind of activities we’ll be doing and participating. Being able to give undivided attention and create a connection in where the kid/kids can feel trusted. I have worked with over 6 beautiful families over the years some whom I’m still in contact with to this day it’s like having a bonus family!

Having patience and making sure you leave your personal life out the door once you walk in. Remember you’re now their biggest influence since I’m spending majority of the time with them. Also to enjoy every moment love what you do and remember why you do it

Their little giggle and the way toddlers try to communicate and form sentences the way babies do that adorable stretch once you pick them up the car seat and even the tantrums every part is my favorite because their only little for so long
