A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kimberly, I am 19 going on 20 this year. I am a military spouse and also grew up a military brat, and have a lot of different experiences from different places that help me and sometimes others. I am half Korean so I am also fluent in the language. I do know little bits of Spanish but unfortunately not enough to be fluent, however I am always open to learn! I do absolutely love children! I have a sister 8 years younger than me, who I first learned with how to care for a child. Before moving here I lived with a friend and helped her care for her 2 children as well as maintain her house for her since she was pregnant with her 3rd! I used to dream of becoming a teacher, however my true passion lies in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I'm a very flexible and patient person, which I believe to be some of my best attributes especially when it comes to children. My husband and I currently don't have children but someday in the future we definitely hope to have many!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I lived with a friend and helped take care of her 5 year old and 1 year old son. Her husband was military and she was working part time and she was pregnant with her 3rd. I helped her out around the house to help lighten the load and watched the kids for her!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking children to the playground or doing arts and crafts! Active and positive stimulation for children is super important but its even better when its made fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Back in high school I had an ROTC instructor and for four years he helped shaped who I am. He was like an uncle to me. At our graduation ceremony he gave a speech and he said, "When you borrow something and its time to give it back, you should give it back in better condition then when you got it."
Children are our future, and it's important that the way they grow up will be kind, gracious, and wise, so that they can continue to create a better future. Its our job as their predecessors to help mold them that way. Being a nanny as small a role as it is, is a huge role in the lives of children and theirs to come.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment has to be when the kids get just as excited as me when we see each other! Their reactions and attitudes are so funny and adorable, I never get tired of them!
