In the summer of 2025 I babysat for a family of three kids.
In the summer of 2026 I worked at Jameson Camp which is an overnight summer camp for kids aged 7-17. I worked as a counselor and got experience with every age group. I had to carefully manage challenging conversation regarding personal safety and mental well-being of campers. I also facilitated a safe summer camp experience while leading activities such as rock climbing, archery, and ziplining.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love baking/cooking with children and getting to teach them various technical skills. I also very much enjoy playing games, stationary or sports, with kids as it's so cool engaging with their competitiveness and challenging them. I loved racing kids at camp, or seeing how many cartwheels they could do, or beating them at gaga square. It's just fun seeing kids get a chance to demonstrate their skill and have their passion shared by an adult.

My experience with special needs children...
At camp I was a counselor to many kids with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as ADHD and Autism. I also cared for many kids with mental health struggles who were dealing with depression and anxiety. I have a decent amount of experience accommodating these kids and ensuring their safety, inclusion, and joy at camp. I care a lot about a world where every kid is accommodated and has access to a flourishing life. I look forward to learning about the individual needs of your kids.
