More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been helping my mom with my own siblings for many years but I have been watching children for other families since I was about 16. I have babysat for over a dozen families and have bonded with all the children and made great connections with each family. I have watched any age group and up to 4 kids at a time. I always do light housekeeping and leave the home better than when I arrived. I can cook almost anything the kids would want and always get them to bed on time.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy whatever they enjoy! I love to do crafts with them, spend time outdoors, read, play and involve them in the meal preparations.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger brother who is on the autism spectrum so I feel especially skilled in that area. I understand how easily emotions/ moods can change and how they require certain levels of patience, understanding and attention. I also understand how unique, kind and fun they are so it is always a pleasure to spend time with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is when a 3 year old boy I’d been watching for a while got upset when I left, I hate to see kids get sad about anything but knowing they care about me as much as I care about them makes me happy :)
