As a daycare assistant, I had the joy of caring for children ranging from 7 months to 10 years old, creating a fun and nurturing environment where they could learn and grow. I loved designing hands-on STEM activities that sparked their curiosity and encouraged creativity. Meal times were just as important I made sure each child was well-fed with three nutritious meals a day, plus snacks, while also making it a time for connection and conversation. Whether it was playing, learning, or simply offering comfort, I was dedicated to making each child feel safe, supported, and excited for the day ahead.

Spending time with kids is my absolute favorite, and I love making every day feel like an adventure! I’m all about the outdoors fresh air, sunshine, and nature-inspired fun (just no bugs, please… they give me the heebie-jeebies!). I’m also a total DIY junkie, so arts and crafts are a must! From painting and paper mâché to building with Legos and even a little crochet, I love getting creative with kiddos and watching their imaginations soar. There’s just something so special about seeing their little faces light up when they create something all on their own!

The most important part of being a nanny is the love, patience, and care that go into helping a child feel safe, happy, and understood. I’ve been taking care of my siblings and babysitting since I was young, so being around kids has always felt natural to me. Watching them grow, learn, and develop their own little personalities is truly the most rewarding experience. My passion for children led me to study elementary education at Virginia State University, and I’ve always been dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where kids can thrive. To me, being a nanny isn’t just about watching children it’s about building trust, forming meaningful connections, and being someone they can count on.
My experience with special needs children...
Growing up with two younger siblings on the autism spectrum, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the patience, care, and creativity needed to support children with special needs. As someone who is also high-functioning, I know firsthand that children feel more comfortable and thrive when they’re with people who truly understand and can relate to them. I approach every child with empathy, adapting to their unique needs while creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they can feel confident and valued just as they are.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my all-time favorite nanny moments was with two little ones, ages 3 and 6. We had spent the afternoon outside, turning the yard into our very own obstacle course using whatever toys we could find pure chaos, but so much fun! We took turns racing through it, and when it was my turn, I decided to show out and make it extra dramatic. But doing that I trip on my feet and fell😂. The 6-year-old let out the biggest belly laugh, and it was the most contagious thing until he laughed so hard that he accidentally farted! The poor guy immediately burst into tears from embarrassment, and of course, and of course reassured him that it was totally okay. That part wasn’t funny, but the whole moment was just so pure and silly. It’s one of those little memories that has stuck with me and always makes me smile!
