My most recent family consisted of two older girls, 16 and 14, and two little ones, 4 and 6. I helped with pickup, errands for the house, cooking dinner, and after school activities. And for five years I volunteered weekly on Sunday’s at my church with children ranging from ages 3 to 5.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love drawing with the kids and just letting them express themselves. Another one of my favorites is reading some of their favorite books, and then acting it out with them.
My experience with special needs children...
For six months, I worked with a 8 year old boy with autism and ADHD. He was so sweet, and him and I got along very well, and always had lots of fun.
