I think one of my favorite memories would have to be reading the story of the Little Red Hen and creating a whole week of learning out of it where we learned about wheat, where it's grown, what it looks like, and how to grind it into flour. Once we had our hand made flour we made individual sized loaves of bread for each child and a large loaf of bread for the family.
