More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a preschool teacher for 3 year olds and assistant teacher for school-agers in aftercare. I also volunteered at the community center every summer for about 3 years; we took the kids on field trips, had activity time both in and outdoors, provided them with breakfast and lunch, and continued their education. I’ve also babysat kids from as young as 3mo to as old as 13yr.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m willing to try anything the kids want to do (within reason) at least once, but my favorite activities include: reading, arts and crafts, playing instruments, swimming, going for walks, going to the park (one of my favorite places ever), and watching a good movie.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is adaptability. Children are constantly changing and growing and if you can’t grow with them you simply wont succeed.
My experience with special needs children...
Is majorly with autism and adhd, the children with whom I’ve worked have ranged across the spectrum some being nonverbal. I work with them to improve their social, emotional, physical, and a plethora of other skills.
