My favorite things about working with kids is just how they can be so funny, loving and caring. My all time favorite moment I have had working with kids is, I had a child who was about a year old, the child struggled for a few months with drop off always crying and wanting their mom. We were working very hard at doing smoother drop offs. Well one-day I was walking down the hallway to get the child from their mom and the child seen me and just started running towards me with the biggest smile on their face and just so excited to see me. In that moment my heart just melted because not only was he so excited to see me and give me a hug, but their was no tears or hesitation at all to come to daycare that day. I started to tear up a little because I was just so happy that child had accomplished that mile stone. Not only was I happy for the child but also for the mom because she was also struggling with leaving her child when they were crying so she had a lot of relief in that moment to.
