A little bit about me

I am a graduate from URI College of Nursing. I have worked in a daycare setting since high school and am having a hard time letting that experience go. I recently am unemployed due to the virus and am looking for a long-term position while I put my nursing career on hold for a few years. I am looking to transition into more of a nanny job in a home setting to get more of the 1 on 1 relationship time with a family/child. I enjoy doing crafts, reading, games and playing outside amongst many other things!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

at an overnight summer camp for boys with type 1 diabetes. I was responsible for all of their medical needs as a member of the healthcare team. Also responsible for supervision during different hours of the day. I also have years of experience in a daycare setting both when I was in high school and after graduating college.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

arts and crafts, reading, walks, going to the park, swimming

The most important part about being a nanny...

is developing a special bond with the child over time that is completely indescribable.

My experience with special needs children...

involves working with a teenager who had a traumatic brain injury from a car accident, leaving him unable to walk. I also have a great deal of nursing background from my education in regards to children with specific needs and requirements.
