A little bit about me

Hi my name Kristen, I am 50 years old and have 2 sons of my own that are young adults ages 27 and 30… besides having personal experience with my own children… I also have work experience with the elderly and special needs children/adults… I am currently working part time as a therapist for an Autistic Child... I do ABA therapy and been in this field of work for well over 6 years now… I went to college prior for pharmaceutical studies but enjoy working as a caregiver and/or with children... I have been told and I can admit I do have tons of patience, are very understanding, empathetic and compassionate for others… also I am spiritual, friendly, loving and a naturally giving person… if you consider me a candidate for this position I promise not to let you down and I always put my best foot forward… also have a natural gift of doing my absolute finest always with going above and beyond in my abilities including my work ethic.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and Crafts, Cards and Board Games, puzzles, dance exercises/competitions with music..Domestic Work/Responsibilities and Education..including cleaning and straightening up, cooking and baking activities accompanied by adult supervision and age appropriate activities within the family household including making lists for realistic expectations and goals, self affirmations, naturalistic teaching.. helping with homework, taking walks, caring for pets, outside play for appropriate ages including games, activities for example: an obstacle course, swimming lessons, going to the park and any other activities that parents may have or encourage for example: practicing musical skills~ singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.. Another example: practicing spiritual meditation and praying activities according to family beliefs and traditions if requested.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To help others and be a supportive partner in a professional respectful relationship but still being a genuine person with compassion, patience, understanding, empathy, love and honesty to meet the family needs and expectations.. being a great role model and family oriented with naturalistic skills of great manners, morals and values

My experience with special needs children...

ABA Therapy, Advocacy for mental health illness/issues and counseling.. including cognitive behavioral therapy and speech therapy .. Also I have pharmaceutical education including diseases and disorders

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite moments with my own kids was when they were fairly young several of my neighbors, some teachers, and their friends parents told me that my sons are so respectful with excellent manners.. also I recall when my boys were getting older and were teenagers that we went out to eat at a Panda Express and just after ordering our food both of my sons thanked me for their meals.. a worker made a comment and thought it was so sweet and thoughtful absolutely amazing that my sons were so grateful.. she mentioned that she had never experienced or seen such a wonderful gesture from anyone else before then.. when I look back and think of those moments I am a very happy and proud mother and appreciate the kindness they were taught and respect to show to others and even including their own family.. to this day my two sons stick up for others in a righteous manner and are always willing to give a helping hand they are so selfless that they will give the shirt off their back to anyone.
