Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started babysitting for certain family and friends very young (12/13) when they wanted to go out on certain outings and ever since I've enjoyed every bit of it! From actual nannying to cooking and playing with them and even taking them out to the park and enjoying some popsicles together. I was a lead teacher at a preschool in Winter Haven and worked with multiple kids so I had a lot of responsibilities while working there, proving I'm a very trustworthy person :)
Everyone who has had me as a nanny for them has all said great things, their kids even requested me to stay the night so they can spend more time with me the next day, how cute!!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activities I enjoy doing with children are playing kid's games, doing arts and crafts and building things, cooking and making snacks with kids, playing indoor and outdoor sports, teaching and learning new things, and being engaged in educational activities.
I will often bring toys, cool things to do like arts and crafts, and snacks that children themselves can have fun with and create their snacks “their way” to connect and have fun with the kids to create a trusting bond between the kids and parents I am babysitting for.
I also enjoy spending quality time with the kids I am babysitting by going out on small errand runs (shopping) and picking up some ice cream or popsicles for us to enjoy afterward. Or going to a park and a playing at the park because children love parks!

Building trustworthy relationships both with the kids and parents, taking care of family needs and having fun overall because what good is a strict nanny haha!
My experience with special needs children...
I watched my cousin who has autism when he was 4 years old and he loved it. We played brain-engaging games and he loved being able to discover new things. I could see it in his eyes he was so overjoyed! We did various things he seemed to enjoy (building small puzzles/games, celery boats with raisins, and making his own bagel pizza).
I also would like to mention that while working at the preschool I had a couple students with autism and with ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was babysitting at my home, I had my younger cousin write me a note on an index card that said “I Love You” in purple marker after I helped him learn how to write certain words and phrases and then he grabbed a piece of tape and taped it to my bedroom door to make sure I saw it! It was my proudest moment in watching kids because I knew it was genuine and I was so happy to receive it!!!
The families I work with have grown to love me as one of their own family members since we become practically family with the schedules we choose and I am always given “thank you’s” in the form of random gifts, dinners, and compliments for going above and beyond with the children in work with! I’m always so grateful to receive any gift from the families I work with! And it makes me over the moon excited that they are so happy to have me as their nanny!

I spent most of those two years in the nursery & with the 1 year olds, however I was a floater at times and went wherever as needed! I’ve been living in Winter Haven for 4 months now, and when I go home I still visit my babies at the daycare! Creating such a strong bond with not only the child in my care, but the siblings and parents is so important to me.
