A little bit about me

Originally from a Warner Robins Georgia, I hold a degree in Philosophy with a background in Studio Art. Over the past few years, I’ve had the joy of working as a Lead Nanny and Household Manager, where I’ve gotten to blend my love for structured organization with my energetic, child-at-heart spirit. As a creative, outside-the-box thinker, I’m an avid reader who loves bringing imagination and artistic expression into everyday life—whether that’s through acrylic painting, custom apparel design, or coming up with inventive, hands-on activities for kids. Outside of my work and creative projects, you can usually find me outdoors, spending time near the water, or exploring new fashion and design trends. Curious and adaptable, I love building meaningful, long-term connections with families and bringing both warm, reliable care and creative energy into the home.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Coming from a very large, close-knit family, I was entrusted with the role of the babysitter from an early age. During family holidays, Sunday dinners, and various gatherings, it was an unspoken expectation that I would be the one to corral and entertain the younger children. This responsibility was not a burden; rather a role I embraced wholeheartedly, deriving immense joy from engaging with my younger cousins. I have always had a natural affinity for connecting with children, understanding their unique personalities, and tailoring my approach to captivate their attention and foster their development. Whether it was organizing games, storytelling, or simply providing a patient and attentive ear, I took pride in creating a warm and inclusive environment where the children felt safe, valued, and inspired.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids actively engaged through a mix of creative, hands-on, and outdoor fun! As an artist and a big kid at heart, I’m always getting down on their level to paint, work on mixed media crafts, or invent new games together. I enjoy spending plenty of time outside—whether we’re exploring nature, playing in the yard, or enjoying water-adjacent activities. Indoors, I love diving into good books for storytime, helping with homework in a way that makes learning feel approachable and fun, and getting creative in the kitchen by cooking or baking simple, age-appropriate recipes together. Above all, I focus on tailoring activities to whatever spark of curiosity the kids have, blending imaginative play with gentle support for their everyday routines and milestones.

The most important part about being a nanny...

At the end of the day, my absolute top priority is safety—hands down. Nothing matters more than making sure the kids are completely safe and secure so parents have total peace of mind when they're away. But right after that? It’s all about fun and enrichment. I want their days to be full of laughter, play, and cool hands-on experiences. When kids feel safe and know they're cared for, it gives them the confidence to just be kids—to explore, get creative, try new things, and have a blast growing up.

My experience with special needs children...

Throughout high school, I actively participated in the Partners Club, fostering meaningful connections with my peers who had special needs. Since then, I have been fortunate to continue cultivating valuable relationships through various volunteering endeavors. Notably, I have contributed to Special Olympics events and assisted at a local speech therapy practice during their weekly "Parents Night Out" program. These diverse experiences have allowed me to interact with and support individuals with special needs ranging from 2 to 24 years old, enriching my understanding and appreciation for their unique perspectives and abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I think about my favorite nanny moment, it isn’t just one big event, but rather the quiet accumulation of a hundred little everyday moments that built a true, family-like bond. It’s in the spontaneous laughter during messy baking sessions, the silly games we invented on the spot, and the quiet comfort of reading books together at the end of an active day. It’s watching them hit new milestones, feeling them instinctively reach for my hand when we’re out exploring, and being the person they run to when they want to show off a new painting or just need a hug. Over time, those ordinary, sweet interactions layered on top of each other until I wasn't just managing the household or planning their activities—I was a trusted, cherished part of their lives, and they had permanently moved into my heart like family.
