I have done tone of volunteer work with children over the years. I volunteered in a preschool class for 40+ hours, as well as coaching a little league team and a 6U boys soccer team. I have paired with 6U softball girls teaching them how to throw and catch.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love watching children grow and learn. Playing color games and or block games and seeing there faces light up with the triangle goes through the triangle shaped hole. I also love watching children interact in group settings. It is so good for children to get out and socialize with others or course all well being closely monitored.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Understanding that you are what this child and or children look up to. You are spending 40 hours a week if not more around this certain child meaning you will probably be there for their first steps and first word. You are more then a babysitter you are family.
My experience with special needs children...
When I use to play softball my team and I would go volunteer with a local organization that allowed special needs children to play baseball.We would partner with a child and insure they got the full experience playing the game.

I love to take the kids I nanny to the park and watch there faces light up every time. Getting to see them run around and play learn to skills it is just an amazing time for them and for me.
