Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience working with children of different ages and abilities through several school and community programs. As a mentor in a pre-K classroom, I spent an hour each day helping young children learn and participate in activities. I also participated in Interact, a community service program where I regularly worked with preschool and elementary-aged children through various activities and events. These experiences have helped me develop patience, responsibility, communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with kids.

I enjoy keeping children engaged through hands on activities, outdoor play, sports, games, crafts, and creative projects. I believe it’s important for kids to stay active, explore their interests, and have fun away from screens when possible. At the same time, I’m easygoing and flexible enjoy everything from playing outside and doing activities to relaxing with a movie, reading stories, or helping with homework.
My experience with special needs children...
Through my high school’s LINKS program, I worked closely with students with special needs in a hands-on classroom setting. For one hour each day, I partnered with students to help them learn, participate in classroom activities, develop social skills, and build confidence in everyday situations. In addition to working directly with students, I completed coursework focused on understanding different disabilities, sensory needs, communication styles, and strategies for providing support in a respectful and inclusive way.
