More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 18 years childcare expirience as a mother of 2 boys (18 & 6). And I also have 7 years expirience babysitting infants to 12 yr olds with multiple siblings at one time. Four siblings was the most I cared for at the same time, and they were all under 7 years old. I also have expirience working with children with autism (on the spectrum), & disabilities. I have also been helping the elderly for 3+ years working for papapal(current) & I also took care of my 96 year old grandmother for 2 years before she passed. I have lots of patience, am very kind & love to help children & the elderly any way I can. Whether it be picking up medications, groccery shopping, taking them to appointments, making sure their medication is taken on time or just spending quality time & companionship with them. Im an old soul who is young at heart who never stops smiling. Help me help you & I will be grateful in becoming part of your family.💝

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing racquet ball,soccer,baseball, swiming,riding bike,roller/ice skating,painting/drawing,basketball,tennis, volley ball,playing board games,hopscotch,climbing trees,feeding animals,taking pictures of wildlife,treasure hunts,exploring nature, reading,watching educational shows/movies,playing with play-doh,activity books(mazes,connect the dots,color by numbers,etc), practicing a dance routine,playing video games(very little), eating healthy snacks(fruit,veggies, nuts, ogurt,etc.), making healthy popcicles(fruit & yogurt),crafts,making forts,dress up,hide & seek,creating obstacle courses to complete together,planting seeds (to teach them to plant, nuture & watch them grow), creating a short stories or comics together,bowling(with water bottles or whatever we can find nearby),researching their peek interests to help them learn more, memory games(card games),play pretend to fuel the imagination(like your in a different career field, nurse, teacher, lawyer, police, etc.). Anything safe.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is always appreciating the uniqueness of every child & individual, with a open state of wonder & awe.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked & looked after 2 children who were on the spectrum & another who had autism for 2 years. I learned to create positve distractions when they would have minor to major episodes, & always made sure they could not hurt themselves or others. More often than not, these children do not test your patience, they give it to you. And for them, I am truly grateful.
