Hello! I’m Lacie, a 24-year old native San Diegan. I’ve been watching children since I could change my cousins diapers at 12 years old and haven’t stopped since! I worked for a nannying agency for 3 years and helped a ton of families/children before switching to private families in 2015. My experience ranges from 6month old twins to a 17year old with cerebral palsy. I did a lot of extracurriculars growing up so I thoroughly enjoy when the kids I look after have those experiences as well - I’m a total “soccer mom” without the mom part. ;) I’m extremely reliable, quick on my feet and very patient.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With babies my favorite thing in the world is just getting them to laugh! It’s just as fun for me as it it them. For my older kids, my favorite thing to do is create our own board game! Usually loosely based on candy land but creating new characters and obstacles is so fun.

I think the most important part of being a nanny is leaving an impact on the child. Whether you’re the reason he got his highest grade on a test or you insured her to join the soccer team, creating a lasting impression that benefits the child is vital.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a respite care nanny for 3 years and worked with all types of children with special needs. I had kids with autism (all ends of the spectrum), an amputee child and a 17 year old with cerebral palsy. I’m pretty adaptable and very compassionate.
